Rock N' Roll Wedding

A couple of good friends of mine got married earlier this summer, and gave me free reign to design their invitations! As music lovers, they decided to have a music theme to their wedding, incorporating records into their centerpieces, and lots of other fun details. Mark and Jamie are big fans of bluesy rock, so I decided to give the invites the look of an old blues poster.

Thanks for asking me to do these, and thanks for the great party Mark & Jamie!

Sherpa Marketing Business Cards

Well, after months of planning, my work finally rebranded about a month ago. Martron is now known as Sherpa Marketing. I made these business cards as part of the stationary package, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. 2 color screen printed on vinyl.

New member to the family :)

Introducing the newest member to our family, Jackson Pawlick! We've had him for about a month and a half now, and he's now about 3 months old. We adopted him from the people that run the barn at Bird's Hill Park. He's got an insane amount of energy (as all kittens do...), And has dog-like tenancies like begging for food, and playing fetch!

I shot this Sunday afternoon, because the light was coming in our bedroom so beautifully.

Ideas Worth Sharing

I've always been a big fan of the TED talks you can watch online. Little did I know, that people could independently organize their own TED events. That is, until my boss, Marty Fisher, at Sherpa Marketing ( and a bunch of his contacts started to organize their own for the city of Winnipeg ( Which is great for me, because he lets me design a lot of the marketing materials, including these posters! As some of you may know, poster design is what I grove on, and I jump at the chance to do them whenever the opportunity arrives. And in this case, Marty was a great client, because he trusted my opinion, gave little direction, and just let me do my thing. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

A Recent Snap

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of assisting the talented Alyson Lenhardt of Victoria Anne Photography ( at Chris and Dana's Wedding in Beausejour. It was a hot one (40 degrees Celsius with humidity!) But the bride and groom looked great. Here's one of my shots from the day.

Get Inked Yo!

Here's a little website I made for the very talented guys at Phase 2 Tattoo in Winnipeg, Canada.
The design was done by myself, using elements from the business cards I made up for them last year. Programming credits go to my buddy Dean Van De Walle ( He's a smart dude and figured out a way to allow the artists there to update their portfolios directly to the site, using a plug-in through flickr.
